The House of 1000 Mirrors
A long time ago in a small village, there was a place called the House of 1000 Mirrors. A curious boy heard about this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he walked up the stairs and pushed open the heavy door with great anticipation. He took a deep breath and looked around, finding himself surrounded by an endless array of mirrors reflecting his own image exactly.
He couldn't help but look up at those eyes staring back at him without fear or disgust, only kindness and understanding in them. In that moment, he realized that every person is like one of these mirrors - no matter where or when you meet them, they will always reflect your true self.
In the same village lived another person who didn't express emotions well. When invited to visit the house, they felt both curiosity and fear. They hesitated but eventually decided to go see for themselves. As their footsteps echoed through the empty hallway, they saw countless pairs of eyes without anyone greeting or smiling back at them. Each time they tried to engage with these strangers in conversation, it was met with silence or coldness from them.
Overwhelmed by feelings of oppression and loneliness seeping from every corner and windowpane alike - upon leaving - they vowed never to return again.
All faces are mirrors indeed; what reflections do you see in people's faces as you meet them?
