从前，我和我哥哥外出时，遇见了一间房子，上面写着“社廟”两字。我们开始争论，这是“社朝”还是“杜廟”。为了验证谁对，我们决定在路边等人，问他们这两个字的含义。

We were getting more and more frustrated with each person's evasive answers. Just when we thought all hope was lost, an official from our county arrived in his carriage. We told him about our situation and how everyone else had dodged our question.

The official listened patiently and then explained everything clearly: "These two characters are indeed '社朝' and '杜廟', but it is not good for people like you who do not know their meanings to argue over them so much." He then continued, "It is even worse for those who claim they can see things but cannot read or understand what they mean."

I realized that I had been foolishly arguing over something I didn't fully understand myself. The official's words made me feel ashamed of my earlier behavior.

In the end, I learned an important lesson: sometimes it's better to listen rather than talk, especially when you don't have all the facts straightened out in your mind.
